Would you like to learn how to create hydrogen? Do you want to customize an old oscilloscope to send data directly to your computer? Do you want to fabricate a remote controlled tripod to show your lab remotely? Would you need a translational microscopic stage for your research, but you could not find funding to buy one? Antero's hidrogen generator, Aleksi oscilloscope plugin, Kenichi Komatsu's Tele 5g tripod and Tatyana Avsievich's microscopic stage are real projects build by our last two years Fab Academy students.

f you would like to learn how to use Fab Lab equipment to build similar or totally different projects you can attend Fab Academy.

Fab Academy is an intensive five-month program that teaches students to envision, design and prototype projects using digital fabrication tools and machines.

The course is directed by Neil Gershenfeld from MIT’s Center For Bits and Atoms and based on MIT’s rapid prototyping course: How to Make (Almost) Anything.

Some of our university students and staff might get entitled to scholarship which covers totally or partially the registration costs. Contact Fab Lab Oulu for more information.
