Call open: Proof-of-Concept (PoC) funding for the first demo of your business idea
The 2023 PoC (Proof-of-Concept) funding call is now open for applications. It is intended for making the first implementation of an invention or idea (proto, demo). The funding aims to increase the possibilities of creating research and student-based businesses.
PoC funding is also intended for student teams. It is awarded a total of €200,000 for 2023, out of which a single student application can get a maximum of €5,000. The amount can grow even more significant when the city of Oulu makes its own funding decision during the spring.
You can apply for funding as long as it is still available. The aim is to distribute the funding during the spring so the projects can be implemented by the end of November.
How to apply for PoC funding?

- Fill in the application form and send it to the Registry of University (Kirjaamo)

The application will be handled in the University Innovation Centre. You will get a response within 2-4 weeks of applying.
