The Career Centre services will continue on Monday 11th September at 10.00. We offer you guidance at every stage of your studies to help you discover your potential and develop your career path.

Drop-in career guidance at the heart of Linnanmaa campus

The Career Centre services will continue Monday 11 Sept 2023. We will be open every week from Monday to Thursday between 10.00–14.00.

You are welcome to drop in at the Career Centre to ask our experts for advice on all matters related to your career and job search, for example when you are wondering about your CV, job application, LinkedIn profile or finding an internship. We will provide you with career guidance, skills and support you need to build your future career.

Our services are available to the students and doctoral researchers at the University of Oulu as well as students at the OAMK on a drop-in basis. Please note that if you wish to book an appointment for personal career guidance, it is possible at the Career Centre within our opening hours.

You can find us at the heart of Linnanmaa Campus, close to the the green coat racks or on the Tuudo map (Career Centre or YT101)

Career Centre services

  • Work Ready workshops will prepare you to the job market and help you to stand out from the crowd.The registration for the workshops in October is open now, sign up here!
  • In 1:1 career guidance you will get to reflect, plan, discuss and develop your future career together with the career counsellor.
  • Mock interview and elevator pitch is for you when you want to practice a job interview with a career counsellor, and you have an interview scheduled.
  • At recruitment events, you get to discuss your career opportunities directly with different employers and network in your field. Follow the Career Centre event calendar here!
  • The Mentoring Programme connects you with a working-life expert and gives you tools, tips and ideas for your own career planning. You will get your own mentor, with whom you can meet and discuss themes around working life, career, job-hunting and future options and visions, according to your own needs.
  • Meet the Arctic Advisors at the Career Centre every Tuesday between 12.00-13.00, when you need support and guidance on living in Oulu and university life.

JobTeaser is here soon – get ready!

During the autumn, we will introduce the new JobTeaser career portal, which allows you to build your career path, apply for jobs and internships targeted for studets at the UniOulu, and book an appointment with a career counsellor. In JobTeaser you can also create your own profile and get information about interesting events. In the future, you will receive an email invitation to join JobTeaser so stay tuned.
