Email List Service Maintenance and Downtime: 16–18 January 2026.

The University of Oulu’s mailing list server will be migrated to a new server because the current one is technically outdated. During the migration period, Friday–Sunday, 16–18 January 2026, emails will not be delivered to mailing lists. Normal service will resume on Monday, 19 January 2026.
  • Mailing list addresses will remain unchanged.
  • As part of this update, we will deactivate inactive lists. A list is considered inactive if it has not been used in the past 12 months.
  • In addition, lists whose designated owner no longer has an active University of Oulu account will not be transferred to the new server.
    • If, after the migration, messages no longer reach a list you need, it means that the list was not transferred. If you would like to become the new owner of the list, please contact ict@oulu.fi, and we will transfer the list under your ownership.
