Student feedback is reflected in the development of services
Feedback collected through the student services evaluation has played an important role in developing the services. Based on the results, several measures have been introduced across different services to improve accessibility, visibility and the overall student experience. The measures taken by each service are listed below.
Faculty Study Services are improving visibility and access to information
Based on student feedback, Faculty Study Services are working to improve the visibility of their services, communication and the findability of information.
UniMove is developing its range of sports and exercise activities
UniMove uses student feedback when planning its sports and exercise services. The aim is to increase the number of popular classes and activities on offer.
New opportunities for physical activity breaks have also been introduced on campus during the spring, including an outdoor table tennis table, pull-up bars and wall bars.
Making Study Psychologist services more visible
A new appointment booking system has been introduced for Study Psychology services to make it easier for students to access the service.
Based on student feedback, the visibility of the services is being increased particularly at the Kontinkangas campus. Student psychologists participate in events during Orientation Week and organise pop-up activities together with other guidance and counselling professionals. Faculties can also request lectures and workshops for their own student groups, such as the Rethinking Time Management and Coping with Darkness workshops. Individual guidance appointments are also available on campus.
In addition, a feedback survey has been introduced for students who have attended individual guidance sessions to support the further development of the service.
Career Centre strengthens support at different stages of studies
The visibility of the Career Centre is being increased throughout students' studies. The aim is to make the service easier to find and use. The Career Centre now also offers individual career guidance at the Kontinkangas campus once a month.
Additional support is being developed for international students to strengthen their awareness of working life and support transitions between studies and working life.
ICT Services are developing printing services and customer feedback
ICT Services have paid particular attention to feedback concerning printing services. To address long-standing reliability issues with mobile printing, ICT Services have worked closely with the service provider. The printing services will also be put out to tender again.
Customer feedback collection is also being developed by exploring the possibility of sending users a feedback link by text message after a telephone support call. There is a clear need for this development: in 2025, approximately 7,500 calls were made to the ICT customer support phone service.
The processing of service requests is also being reviewed to make the handling of support requests smoother and more transparent.
Improvements to Tellus facilities
Several practical improvements are being made to the Tellus study facilities. The uncomfortable work chairs at the Kontinkangas campus will be replaced with new ones.
New desks will be added to the Park study space at the Linnanmaa campus, providing more opportunities for studying in shared spaces.
In addition, an instructional video on using and booking Tellus facilities is available for tutors. The aim is to ensure that information about using the facilities reaches new students as clearly as possible from the beginning of their studies.
Improving communication and feedback in lobby services
Based on student feedback, communication and accessibility in the lobby services are being developed. Students have asked for clearer ways to provide feedback on the services and more consistent guidance, particularly regarding room bookings. Feedback channels and practices are currently being reviewed to address these needs.
Thank you for your feedback!
