Supervision plan to the doctoral study right application

University of Oulu Graduate School introduces supervision plan to advance co-operation between the doctoral researcher and supervisor/s, prevent problems, and clarify the division of labor between the parties.

Before applying the doctoral study right, doctoral researcher, principal supervisor and co-supervisors make a supervision plan by discussing and agreeing on the supervisory arrangements, and the process of the doctoral research.

Please remember to take the supervision plan into use when recruiting new doctoral researchers. We warmly recommend you utilize the supervision plan in already ongoing supervisions. The supervision plan is a tool between the doctoral researcher and supervisors which is updated during the doctoral training. It is delivered to Graduate School only during the application phase.

Supervision plan is based on the recommendation to the universities by The Finnish National Board on Research Integrity and Universities Finland UNIFI.
