Sustainability Studies Network: The call for applications for spring courses is open from the 17th to 30th of November 2025

Would you like to study sustainability-themed courses from other Finnish higher education institutions? The University of Oulu is a member of the Sustainability Studies Network. It consists of eleven Finnish higher education institutions, and it offers courses related to sustainability, responsibility and environment themes for the member institutions’ degree, doctoral, and exchange students. The network offers basic, intermediate, and advanced courses.

During late November, from the 17th to 30th, it is possible to apply for the courses that will be organized during the spring 2026. Please note that the students of the University of Oulu enroll on those courses of the Sustainability Studies Network that are organized by the University of Oulu directly through Peppi. The form that is on the network’s webpage of the University of Oulu is for the students of other higher education institutions.

You can include certain courses from the Sustainability Studies Network for example in the Sustainable Development Minor: check the courses that can be included from the minor's study guide page. If you want to include courses from the network in another study module in your degree, please discuss with your education designer or tutor teacher.
