Fourteen participants from the University of Oulu, GTK, and LUKE, joined by Biodiverse Anthropocenes visiting artist Jan Christian Schultz, explored the Kalimeenlampi–Korpilamminsuo restoration area under the guidance of Sakari Rehell from Metsähallitus.

During the visit, participants walked through restored peatlands, ponds, and forested wetlands, learning about sphagnum mosses, drainage ditches, rewetting measures, and the practical challenges of ecological restoration. The workshop offered a close look at how landscapes are reshaped through restoration work and environmental protection. The day concluded with an inspiring presentation and discussions at Loppula Café, where participants reflected on the site.
