The University of Oulu was ranked in the top 500 in the CWUR ranking
The University of Oulu is ranked 459th in the 2022-23 edition of the Global 2000 list by the Center for World University Rankings.
This year's comparison included nearly 20,000 academic degree-awarding universities, of which the top 2,000 were ranked.
CWUR rankings measure the quality of research with various indicators. The evaluation takes into account, among other things, the number of research articles, their number in the top-tier journals and the number of citations. The evaluation also includes the number of significant awards received by alumni and staff, as well as the number of the alumni who have held top executive positions at the world's largest companies relative to the university's size.
