World Science Day - I4WORLD Diversity and Gender Balance in Science poster session
25 doctoral researchers will present their PhD research project posters focusing on SDGs and gender dimension in them.

I4WORLD - Imaging and Characterisation for a Sustainable World (2022-2027) is a doctoral programme at the University of Oulu co-funded by the European Union’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action COFUND. Altogether for the 25 doctoral researchers 15 male and ten female from nine countries are participating in the programme.
The I4WORLD programme includes mainly STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) researchers, so gender perspectives can consider to be important as women continue to be under-represented among doctoral graduates in most STEM fields. Programme research themes include Good Health and Wellbeing; Affordable and Clean Energy; Sustainable Industries and Production and Clean Water, Biodiversity and Environment.
As part of the I4WORLD doctoral programme, Diversity and Gender Balance in Science -course was piloted. Course has been organized to provide the capabilities for open and transparent view for the researchers to recognize and pay attention to diversity and equality aspect on their research and future careers. Posters are final course work, presenting PhD research project posters focusing on SDGs and gender dimension in them.
