Terho Iso-Junno specializes in the design and product development of challenging machines and devices. In addition to mechanical design, his areas of expertise include structural strength simulation, automation design and programming.
In the FMT research group, his area of responsibility includes coordinating the operations of the induction research laboratory and developing and maintaining the laboratory equipment. The induction laboratory focuses on investigating the possibilities offered by induction technology in the heat treatment of steels. Iso-Junno also acts as the lead designer for many prototypes and demonstrations designed and built in the FMT group's projects.
