Research group description

Our research group has decades of experience on research topics such as RF circuits, CMOS SPAD ICs and digital electronics. In addition, we teach more than 20 courses at the University of Oulu.

Teaching

We provide education to Electrical Engineering Degree Programme with various courses and theses in Bachelor and Master levels. Courses we teach include for example basic courses on electrical engineering and circuit theory advancing to optoelectronics and electronics system design.

Research

As a part of our research, transmitters and receivers are developed for high-speed laser devices, enabling applications such as 3D imaging, time-of-flight (ToF) radars and optical spectroscopy. In addition, circuits operating at radio frequencies (RF) are developed for wireless communication systems and research on System-On-Chip (SoC) architectures is also conducted in our research group.
