The Microelectronics Research Group is part of the Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering. Our research focuses on electronic materials and their applications. We contribute to the Electronics and Communications Engineering degree programme by providing education through courses and supervising bachelor's and master's theses.

Research group description
Our research in electronic materials is application driven. We begin by focusing on the target device or component and then develop the materials and processing technologies required for that specific application. Materials science provides a strong foundation for multidisciplinary research, enabling the development of a wide range of applications, including sensors, energy harvesting and storage systems, actuators, carbon nanotube and 2D material based semiconductor devices, versatile high frequency passive components, and their comprehensive integration into functional modules.
