Research group description

In order to understand the function of biomolecules and their assembly into higher-order structures, it is imperative that we obtain detailed information on their structure and dynamics at the molecular level. Our group focuses on structure-function-dynamics studies on proteins and lipid membranes, mainly with regard to molecules specifically found in the vertebrate myelin sheath. Myelin is a multilayer of lipid membranes, held tightly together by specific small proteins.
