Abu Taher

I'm Abu Taher, a doctoral researcher at the Centre for Wireless Communication, University of Oulu. I am working on making intelligent systems work at the edge, architecting distributed network infrastructure that will run AI-powered medical applications in next-generation hospitals.

During my master's thesis, I built an orchestration framework for deploying Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)-based medical image denoising application across edge-cloud environments. My current work extends that framework, where, together with my team, we are envisioning and implementing how medical AI applications could be orchestrated and used by doctors, patients and other stakeholders across hospital networks.

I bring a good mix of curiosity, humility, and a lot of enthusiasm to my work. My lifelong goals are honesty, integrity, and excellence. I genuinely enjoy collaborating and thinking through hard problems with others.
