Aku Lempelto
PhD
Postdoctoral researcher
Computational chemistry/physics and catalysis
My background is in chemistry but I have since focused specifically on materials modelling and quantum theoretical methods. Now I am using DFT (and beyond) to study heterogeneous catalysts for a sustainable and carbon neutral future. In addition to my research on catalysts, I have past experience with photoluminescent organometallic complexes.
On top of my published research, I'm also generally an enthusiast for high-power computing systems and their uses in science.
Research interests
- Catalysis
- Photocatalysis
