PhD Annukka Sailo is a Postdoctoral researcher in the RECIPE project (Resistant cities: Urban Planning as Means for Pandemic Prevention, Academy of Finland 2021–2024). She examines the interconnections of urban planning and infectious disease control in the 19th and the 20th century Finland, more specifically in the context of Helsinki. Previously, Sailo has been working in the LIVES project (Lives over time: Birth cohort studies as a form of scientific knowledge-production, 2019–2021, Academy of Finland). Sailo gained her doctoral degree in history of science and ideas in 2020. Her dissertation examined cross-disciplinary research and debates on human aggression.
