Benny Ryplida graduated with honors from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Indonesia in 2014 with a B.Sc. in Chemistry. In 2022, he received his doctorate from the Department of Green Bio Engineering at Korea National University of Transportation (KNUT). Benny has co-authored over 18 refereed journal articles, 1 patent, and 1 chapter of book, especially in the field of hydrogel and biosensors. He previously worked as a Research Professor at the Chemical Industry Institute, South Korea until 2023. Recently, he worked as researcher in Faculty of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine in University of Oulu, Finland. His present study is centered on the usage of hydrogel as a biosensing and actuator material, in which will be integrated into microfluidic system.
