Chubo Zeko

Chubo is a Doctoral Researcher working in the Hybrid Intelligence (HI) research programme. He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Oulu and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Cyprus International University. Before moving to Finland for his master's studies in 2021, he worked as a junior software developer at Global Programs for Research and Training in Namibia, in collaboration with the University of California San Francisco. During this time, he was involved in health information systems (HIS) development, and electronic medical record data tracking for nationwide research. In 2022, He joined the PE lab as a Research Assistant, where he completed his master's thesis in 2023 under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Matti Pouke. He has extensive experience in XR and game development using Unity and Unreal Engine, digital character motion tracking, and studying the effects of presence and plausibility in virtual environments through physiological data collection (ECG) in VR experiments. ​
His current research focuses on integrating intelligent agents as interactable digital characters in XR scenarios, considering their plausibility and presence-inducing factors.​
