Guido Giunti

Guido Giunti MD PhD is a medical doctor specialized in the use of digital health solutions for people with chronic conditions.

Dr. Giunti was trained as a clinician at the Universidad de Buenos Aires and Hospital de Clínicas José de San Martin, Argentina. He has practiced medicine as part of City of Buenos Aires’ network of Healthcare Attention Centers that offers Primary Care to its citizens.

Guido co-founded TEDxUBA, the TEDx event of the University of Buenos Aires, which under his guidance grew to be an event with over 1500 attendees; and designed “Immune Defense”, an educational tower-defense videogame that teaches how the immune system fights off infections using real immunobiological concepts.

Dr. Giunti’s research has received numerous awards and merits, including a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship and the Best Doctoral Dissertation award in his field. His work has been featured in international media around the world and has been listed among Finland’s top healthcare innovators by the medical magazine Mediuutiset. In 2021, Dr. Giunti was selected as one of Argentina's Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the year by the Junior Chamber International due to his work on medical innovations.

Dr. Guido Giunti is currently the leader of the Digital Therapeutics (DTx) research group and Director of the Centre for Health and Technology.
