Ijaz Ahmad, BCS (Hons), MSIS, SFHEA, C|EH, is a Doctoral Researcher at the Centre for Wireless Communications (CWC), Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, University of Oulu. His research focuses on AI-driven adaptive security for 6G, with an emphasis on secure and trustworthy edge-cloud systems for digital healthcare and other critical environments. Before joining the University of Oulu, he built over a decade of academic experience in Pakistan and Oman, teaching cybersecurity and computing-related subjects in higher education. His research interests include adaptive security, Internet of Things, trustworthy AI, blockchain, cryptography, and the edge-cloud continuum.
His doctoral research is funded through the AI-DOC programme of the Finnish Center for Artificial Intelligence (FCAI), a national initiative launched in 2024 to advance doctoral education in artificial intelligence in Finland. Hosted by FCAI and supported by Finland’s Ministry of Education and Culture, the programme promotes high-quality supervision, researcher mobility, and multidisciplinary collaboration across a consortium of Finnish universities.
