Jana Flury
I am an evolutionary biologist especially interested in the genetic and genomic basis of adaptive traits. I did my PhD on pelvic brooding, a new reproductive strategy and key-innovation in two different lineages of Sulawesi ricefishes. After my PhD I focused on plant mating system shifts in North American Arabidopsis lyrata and adaptation as well as population genetics of several flowering plant species to the climate in high-elevation alpine regions. Currently, I work in the group of Academy Researcher Fellow Tiina Mattila with the aim to understand the molecular basis of parallel adapation to high-latitude climates of European A. lyrata.
