Jari Juuti received his M.Sc. and D.Sc. degrees in mechanical and electrical engineering from University of Oulu, Finland, in 2000 and 2006, respectively. He was appointed as Docent/Adjunct professor of “Functional Materials their Components and Applications” at the university 2009. Currently he is Senior Research Fellow of University of Oulu and has participated/supervised >30 research projects funded by domestic/international funding agencies and industry (additionally >20 privately funded commissioned research). He is author/co-author of >90 refereed scientific journal publications, ~20 conference publications, 3 book chapters and 5 patents/patent applications. His research interests include piezoelectric materials, functional composites, actuators, motors and energy harvesters for micromechanical, high frequency and printed electronics applications.
