Leila Paukkonen
My research topic is patient participation, patient activation and adherence to self-management among patients with multimorbidity, and related factors such as perceived health and health-related quality of life. It is important to develope ways to support patients, especially those with multiple chronic conditions, to assume an active role in their own care to fullest extend possible given their capablities. Emphasising patient-centeredness is important aspect for high quality and effective heathcare.
