Mehdi Letafati received his B.Sc and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2019 and 2021, respectively. He is currently a doctoral researcher at the Center for Wireless Communications, University of Oulu, Finland. His research interests lie at the intersection of AI and radio technologies. He has received the Best Paper Award in the 2024 IEEE Wireless Communication and Networking Conference (WCNC’24), and has contributed to multiple EU projects, including Hexa-X-II, SNS-JU 6GARROW, and 6GFlagship. Mehdi’s doctoral thesis has received several grants, including the Nokia Foundation Award, Jenny ja Antti Wihurin rahasto Award, and Tekniikan Edistämissäätiö Award in 2025, and also the Elisa Research Foundation (HPY:n Tutkimussäätiö) Award in 2024.
