Mehdi Rasti

Dr. Mehdi Rasti is an Associate Professor at the Centre for Wireless Communications in the University of Oulu. From 2012 to 2022 he was with the Department of Computer Engineering, Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. From Feb. 2021 to Jan. 2022, he was a visiting researcher at the Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology (LUT), Lappeenranta, Finland. From November 2007 to November 2008, he was a visiting researcher at the Wireless@KTH, Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. From September 2010 to July 2012 he was with Shiraz University of Technology, Shiraz, Iran. From June 2013 to August 2013, and from July 2014 to August 2014 he was a visiting researcher in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, MB, Canada. He received his B.Sc. degree from Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees both from Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran, all in Electrical Engineering in 2001, 2003 and 2009, respectively. He is also the second author of a book entitled "Radio Resource Allocation in Wireless Networks: An Engineering Approach" published by The Cambridge University Press in 2017.

He is currently working on developing beyond 5G and 6G wireless networks as well as designing digital twins, cyber-physical systems, and IoT platforms for various verticals, including the energy sector.
