Milka Haanpää

I am a postdoctoral researcher at Oulu Business School's Deparment of Marketing, Management and International Business. I defended by doctoral thesis titled "It makes things so much easier - exploring brand experience in a digital health context in September 2023.

My research interests include all things brands and branding (especially brand experience and brand communications), influencer marketing, digitalization, and communicating sustainability in the business context.

Projects I've been involved in:

BrandEx (2018-2022, funded by University of Oulu's Eudaimonia Institute)

Green Factory - Towards carbon neutral production (2022-2023): A Business Finland funded co-innovation project involving The University of Oulu, Aalto University, VTT and seven Finnish companies (e.g., SEW Industrial Gears Oy and Proventia Oy). My research on the project focused on the methods for communicating environmentally sustainable industrial brands and the utilization of the carbon handprint concept in brand communications.
