In the Department of Marketing, Management and International Business, our goal is to increase understanding of complex and challenging organisational functions and processes.


Our main focus is on business-to-business research. Our researchers' high-quality research is regularly published in top-tier business journals. We are also responsible for marketing and international business management education at the Oulu Business School.

Focus areas and research projects

The main focus areas of our marketing, management and international business research include branding, international entrepreneurship, open innovation and appropriation, purchasing behavior, and service business.

Emerging research areas are networked public procurement, organizational change, service design, start-up and high-growth companies, strategy as practice, and technology, science and organizations.
