Muthusamy Saranya
M.Sc
Doctoral Candidate
Microelectronics
Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering
Saranya completed her Bachelor of Technology in Nanotechnology at Amity University, Noida, India in 2016. In the same year, she moved to do her Masters of Science in Nanobiophysics at Technische Universität Dresden, Dresden, Germany. During her time in Dresden, She worked as a student research assistant at Schlierf Group, B-CUBE (Center for Molecular Bioengineering TU- Dresden) on Studying the conformation of G-quadruplex using different annealing condition by FRET. For her Master thesis, She joined Particles-Biology Interactions group, EMPA, St.Gallen, Switzerland under Dr. Peter Wick and Dr. Juan Carlos Cassano for Development of microfluidic Human Umbilical Vein Smooth Muscle (HUVSMC) model for nanoparticle interaction. She finished her Masters in September 2018 and joined as PhD candidate in Adj. Prof. Gabriela. S. Lorite's Team at Microelectronics Research Unit, University of Oulu, Oulu, Finland in November 2018.
Her PhD research focuses on developing nanomaterial based scaffold for modulation of cell behavior. She works on synthesis, characterization, application of nanomaterials for biosciences.
