My research interest is in the roles and significance of extracellular matrix (ECM) in cancer. More specifically, we study certain basement membrane and transmembrane collagens in solid cancers, particularly in skin and breast cancer, trying to understand their molecular mechanisms in tumor cells and in the tumor microenvironment. Our approaches include experimental mouse tumor models as well as advanced cellular models.
