Sari Kunnari
PhD
Professor, Director of the Child Language Research Center
Speech and language therapy, Child language research, Language disorders
I have conducted research on typical speech and language acquisition with the aim of verifying language-specific aspects through cross-linguistic comparisons. Besides typical acquisition, my research has focused on two main clinical groups: children with developmental language disorder and deaf and hard-of-hearing children. I have been a member of the management committees of three international research networks (COST actions A33, IS0804, IS1406) and of the International Expert Panel on Multilingual Children’s Speech. Currently, I am a core member of The Intervention Consensus for Language Disorders Group.
