I am a doctoral researcher in the OASIS Research Group within the Information Processing Science discipline at the Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, University of Oulu. My research focuses on the convergence of technology and human behavior, specifically in the areas of Persuasive Technology, Behavior Change Support Systems (BCSS), Digital Health Interventions, and mobile health (mHealth) applications in the context of weight management and related health conditions.
I hold a Master of Science in Information and Telecommunications Technology from South Korea’s Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), where I concentrated on Business Process Engineering, IT for Development, and public sector digital transformation. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Makerere University in Uganda. In addition to my academic background, I am certified in both Project Management (CAPM) and IT Service Management (ITIL v3 Foundation). My professional experience spans the government, higher education, and private sectors in various capacities.
My current research work involves publishing peer-reviewed research that contributes to the design and development of digital health solutions promoting sustainable behavior change, as well as organizing international workshops on behavior change.
