Susanna Takalo is a university lecturer whose research interests include physical education and physical activity during school days. She is currently a co-principal investigator of Physically Active Academic Lessons in general upper secondary school (PAAL) consortia research project (2023–2027), funded by the Research Council of Finland. The multidisciplinary research project increases understanding of teachers’ and students’ experiences and engagement in physically active academic lessons in upper secondary school. Her research has particularly focused on physical activity during academic lessons.
