I hold a BA (Hons) in Psychology and Criminology from the University of Brighton, focusing on the causes of crime, the penal system, and the complexities of life-sentencing. Building on this foundation, I completed a PgDip in Human Rights, with an emphasis on women’s rights and the roles of women in combat. My interests are the criminal justice systems, rehabilitation, and the societal consequences of penal policy.
With extensive experience within the British Civil Service as a Team Leader in Family and Human Rights, I managed the legal pathways and case-level oversight of individuals within complex immigration and asylum systems. This followed my work in rehabilitation and youth services, where I coordinated multi-agency support plans and led the social and psychological reintegration of women and youth facing homelessness and mental health challenges.
Currently, I am a Project Researcher for the Pohteen työllisyys- ja osaamispolut project, where I am developing a mentoring programme designed to enhance integration, psychological safety, and inclusivity within professional pathways.
