Vinicius Pozzobon Borin was born in Brazil and holds dual Brazilian-Italian citizenship. He received the M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), Brazil, and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree in the Doctoral Degree Programme in Communications Engineering at the University of Oulu, Finland.
Prior to his doctoral studies, Vinicius served as a lecturer for more than 7 years in Brazil, teaching in the fields of engineering and information technology, where he developed extensive experience in both theoretical foundations and practical applications of these disciplines.
He is currently a doctoral researcher at the Center for Wireless Communications (CWC), University of Oulu, where his research focuses on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning applications in communications systems. His current research centers on the development of predictive modelling systems for logistics operations in remote areas, usch as Finland's Railway System, integrating wireless technologies and AI tecnologies.
