Xiaoting Wu is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the PROFI7 Hybrid Intelligence research program, working within the HealthEduCom Lab (Health Care Education and Competence) of the Research Unit of Health Sciences and Technology (HST), and the Center for Machine Vision and Signal Analysis (CMVS) at the University of Oulu. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Oulu in 2022. She continued as a postdoctoral researcher at CMVS during 2023–2024 before moving to the Hybrid Intelligence program in 2024.
Her doctoral research focused on audio-visual kinship verification using deep learning, advancing from unimodal approaches to multimodal learning methods. Her current research interests include AI for healthcare education in VR environments, human cognitive analysis, and human behavior analysis.
