Description

The course will discuss and introduce the basic physical phenomena behind organic field effect transistors. Estimated course extend: 2 ECTS credits.

Lecturer’s short bio

Ronald Österbacka (MSc 1995, DPhil 1999) is professor of physics at Åbo Akademi University. He chairs the CoE in Functional Materials. His research interests are electro-optical properties of disordered organic materials with special reference to Organic Electronics. Österbacka is a member of the Finnish Society for Science and Letters as well as in the Svenska Tekniska Vetenskapsakademien i Finland. Österbacka has three patent families assigned to his name, and has published more than 140 papers and book-chapters in peer review scientific journals.
