Postdoctoral researcher

Biography

Helena Tukiainen works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Geography Research Unit. Her research focuses on geodiversity-biodiversity dynamics, nature conservation and the spatiality of natural resources and conflicts. Methodologically, she is concentrated in quantitative approaches, such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and statistical analyses. Currently she is working in projects "Spatial Inference on Oil and Economic Development" and "Improved geodiversity information in assessing and conserving biodiversity".
