I work as an assistant professor (tenure track) in AI literacies within the GenZ strategic profiling theme of the University of Oulu. Drawing on socio-cultural information literacy research, I focus on examining the practices and competencies of young people in everyday information worlds shaped by AI-powered tools. Overall, my research has concentrated on people's competencies and practices to seek, evaluate, use, and create information in everyday life, particularly in health settings (see Authority and Agency in Making Informed Decisions on Immunization and Cognitive Authorities in Everyday Health Information Environments of Young People) and I have been granted the title of docent in health communication at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Oulu.
