Outi Autti

PhD Outi Autti is a multidisciplinary researcher and holds the Title of Docent in Cultural Sociology at the University of Lapland. Her research lies at the intersections of cultural environmental research, environmental sociology, and the social and cultural history of northern regions. Her research focuses particularly on experiences and memories of war, post-war reconstruction and environmental change, intergenerational memory and trauma, place attachment, recognition, and resilience. She is particularly interested in marginalized experiences and knowledge, as well as questions of power and inequality and the relationships between people, communities, and their environments. Autti has worked in several multidisciplinary and international research projects and networks, including Land Body Ecologies and NORCROSS.
