As a professor I'm leading the research group (HealthManagement) that is researching management and leadership, services and organizations in health and social care. The focus of the research is sustainable leadership and services in digitized and modern health and social care, as well as human centeredness.
The goal is to produce high-quality and socially impactful research in collaboration with local, national and international actors and the service system to meet the needs of health and social services, leadership and management, and education.
Responsible person of Master's Degree program in Health Management Science, University of Oulu. Supervising and teaching doctoral candidates and master's students.

- Sustainable and human-centered leadership and management in healthcare: Management of digital services and evidence-based healthcare, leadership and management competency, multidisciplinary leadership, knowledge management
- Reforming and human-centered health services: Responsiveness to service needs and equality of services in technologized healthcare from the viewpoints of patients, professionals, and managers
- Wellbeing in the healthcare work community and organization: Wellbeing among managers and professionals, work communities’ and organizations’ attraction and holding power, needs and leadership of new generations
