Jennifer Barnett

Jenny has an MA in Experimental Psychology from Oxford University and a PhD in psychiatric epidemiology from the University of Cambridge.

She is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge Department of Psychiatry, a team member of the Oulu University, Northern Finland Birth Cohorts, and the author of 60 publications ranging from psychology and neuroscience to genetics and health economics.

Since 2008, Jenny has worked at the neuroscience technology company Cambridge Cognition in a variety of pharmaceutical clinical trial and healthcare technology development activities. She led research and development for innovative products such as CANTAB Mobile, an iPad-based medical device used to test for the first signs of Alzheimer’s disease, and Cognition Kit, a mobile and wearables platform for the remote monitoring of brain health.

Jenny is interested in the application of novel technologies to allow the measurement of mental health and cognitive functions at scale, and the derivation of new objective ‘digital biomarkers’ from smartphones, home assistants and other devices.
