The next application period to our International Bachelor's and Master's Programmes is  January 3,  2024 - January 17, 2024 15:00/3pm (GMT+2). 

University of Oulu processes the applications and Selection Committees start their work

After processing the application,  Studyinfo will send you an e-mail notification informing you of your application status and, if needed, requesting you to supplement your application. Please read these notification emails carefully and act accordingly!

In some cases, the International programmes also conduct student interviews to determine the applicant’s academic qualifications and knowledge of the field. Applicants who are selected for interviews are personally contacted by the Selection Committees.

Please note: Admission results of Bachelor's Degree Programme in Digitalization, Computing and Electronics  AND Bachelor's Degree Programme in International Business Management will be published in May/June.

University sends the Letter of Admission to accepted applicants via e-mail.

You may accept only one study place leading to a higher education degree in Finland in education that begins in the same academic term.

Please note that failure to verify your educational documents on time will result in cancellation of your study place!

Applicants who receive a study offer need to verify the educational documents according to given instructions and send them to University of Oulu by April 28, 2023 at 15:00 / 3pm (GMT+3). Remember to verify your documents according to given instructions.

Please note the following exception: Applicants and ONLY applicants who are applying to the following programmes with an SAT test score OR in the certificate based selection must verify their educational documents by June 7, 2023 at 15:00 / 3pm (GMT+3):

• International Business Management, Bachelor's Programme in International Business Management, Bachelor of Science (Economics and Business Administration) (3+2 y)
• Information Processing Science, Degree Programme in Digitalisation, Computing and Electronics, Bachelor and Master of Science (3y+2y)
• Electronics and Communications Engineering, Degree Programme in Digitalisation, Computing and Electronics, Bachelor and Master of Science (Technology) (3y+2y)
• Computer Science and Engineering, Degree Programme in Digitalisation, Computing and Electronics, Bachelor and Master of Science (Technology) (3y+2y)

Last day to pay the tuition fee for citizens of non-EU/EAA countries.

The tuition fee has to be paid by May 31, 2023. Failure to pay will result in revoking of the study right for the academic year 2023-2024.

Last day to confirm the study place. 

All students accepted need to confirm their study place with the following schedule: July  14, 2023, 15:00 / 3 pm (GMT+3)

Confirm the offered place electronically through the link in your email notification. Please note that you can only accept one study place per term.

If you don’t confirm your study place by the due date, you will lose the study place.

Applicants who are admitted to Bachelor's degree and are graduating with higher secondary educational degree on spring/summer 2023 - Last day to provide the Degree certificate

Applicants, who receive a conditional offer of study placement must submit certified copies of the final certificate by this date. Failure to do so will result in study place cancellation. 

Applicants who are admitted to Master's degree and are graduating with Bachelor`s Degree on spring/second term 2023 - Last day to provide the Degree certificate and Transcript

Applicants, who receive a conditional offer of study placement, have to submit certified copies of the Degree certificate and the final transcript of records by this date. Failure to do so will result in study place cancellation. 

Academic year begins

Academic year begins with the Orientation for new students starting early September onwards. Dates to be confirmed later.

Time to present the original certificates

All students are required to present their original certificates and transcript of records before starting their studies.
