My choice - University of Oulu
Ayomikun is currently studying Wireless Communications Engineering at the University of Oulu. "I would say it's not the easiest field of studies in the world. But thanks to University of Oulu, I have learnt a lot," Ayomikun mentions.
"The University of Oulu is one of the best places in the world to study Wireless Communications Engineering, and there are plenty of job opportunities to choose from upon graduation."
Ayomikun mentions explicitly that the reputable research background of the University of Oulu encouraged him to choose it for his higher education. "I mean, it's a no-brainer coming here," Ayomikun adds.
Enjoyable social life
Ayomikun is originally from Lagos, which is known as the tech hub of Nigeria. "It's a lovely country with many different cultures; people are nice and accommodating," Ayomikun explains.
When Ayomikun first got to Finland, his first impression was that it was a cold country. "I knew it was going to be cold, but there's a difference between reading about it and experiencing it," Ayomikun adds. However, as a fun, curious and adventurous person, Ayomikun immediately adapted to the new environment.
"So far, the experience in Finland has been nice, and I love the social life in Oulu."
Ayomikun has met many great people during his stay in Oulu through events and parties organized by either university or the students. "The most memorable would probably be the parties organized by the Erasmus students," Ayomikun comments.
Ayomikun has already completed his first-year studies and got his first job offer in Finland. "I have gotten my first job offer which I have accepted, so I'll be in Oulu for some time."
