The Hanging Garden flower arranging exhibition in the Botanical Garden
The Botanical Garden of the University of Oulu (Kaitoväylä 5)
Already in its fourth year, The Hanging Garden flower arranging exhibition is open from 24 to 29 November. on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free entry.
The works in the exhibition are designed and realized by OSAO's gardener and florist students. In the exhibition, one can see charming flower-tying works, which offer things to admire and wonder about for the whole family.
The flower tying exhibition is inspired by one of the Seven Wonders of Ancient Greece, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. In planning the works and choosing materials, the students have familiarized themselves with the plants of the botanical garden and various vegetation zones, which have served as sources of inspiration for the flower-tying works.
Floristic training for basic and professional degrees in horticulture is organized at OSAO in Kempele.
