Researchers' Night is a multidisciplinary event for the whole family to highlight scientists and their work, as well as the importance of science in our everyday life and society.

At the Researchers' Night you get to know science and our researchers by participating in workshops and exhibitions and following general presentations about science. There is a wide range of program numbers of interest for all ages.

A popular play "Ortotopologian lopulliset alkeet" will be presented at 6 pm in L1 (in Finnish). The evening will end with a performance by Julius Rantala from Talent Finland (2021) at Agora from 8 pm!

The event area is the University's Linnanmaa campus and the Botanical Garden of the University of Oulu. The city train Potnapekka will transport the public free of charge between the campus and the garden non-stop from 5 to 9 pm.

The Researchers' Night programme will also take place in Sodankylä, starting at 6 pm.

Researchers' Night is a Europe-wide and Finland's largest science event, traditionally celebrated on the last Friday of September. At the University of Oulu, Researchers Night is now held for the sixth time.
