Arto Maaninen continues as Vice Rector for Cooperation

In its meeting on June 20, 2022, the Board of Directors of the University of Oulu has decided to extend the term of office of Arto Maaninen (PhD), Vice Rector for Cooperation and Innovations, until 30 June 2025, so that the terms of all the current Vice Rectors end at the same time. This extends Maaninen’s original term by 2 years and 7 months.

According to the Board of Directors, Maaninen has the education, experience and language skills required by the University Regulations, the required familiarity with the task area and the management experience required for the post. Evidence of his successful management of the post has been provided during his term as Vice Rector.

In addition, the Board of Directors

• approved the January–April 2022 interim financial statement
• approved the language policy programme and authorised the faculties and other relevant units to be responsible for the implementation, monitoring and updating of the programme
• approved the university’s commitment to the consortium agreement of the EU-funded Horizon Europe framework programme project and the compensation responsibilities contained therein as well as the risk management plan prepared for the project.
