FRONT research programme´s New Research Initiative funding winning projects have been chosen

We are pleased to announce the results of the 2025 FRONT New Research Initiatives (NRI) Programme. These new research initiatives will advance the multidisciplinary resilience research at the University of Oulu.

FRONT research programme has chosen the projects that receive NRI funding for the year 2025. The projects chosen aligned with the key theme(s) of the FRONT research programme, specifically focusing on resilience research, and had future potential to attract funding from international sources e.g., ERC or Horizon Europe. The main themes for multidiscplinary projects were:

  • Resilient human-environment relations

  • Resilient human-economy and value network relations

  • Resilient human-society relations

  • Resilience research methods

Professor Jaakko Simonen, Economics, Department of Economics, Accounting and Finance, Oulu Business School:
Individual resilience and collective decisions: Evidence from experiments in the lab
