Interested in an international EU career? The EU Careers Student Ambassador is here to help you get started

Milla Leppänen is the new EU Careers Student Ambassador at the University of Oulu. As an EU careers ambassador, she wants to help students regardless of their field find international employment opportunities. Milla is a Master's student in physics and applied to become an EU careers ambassador with her international career aspirations.

The EU Careers Student Ambassador increases awareness of EU career opportunities and selection processes among the students at the University of Oulu, as well as advises you when you are interested in EU careers. Simply put, a career ambassador acts as a kind of link between the European Personnel Selection Office (EU EPSO) and you. During the academic year 2023–2024, you can meet Milla Leppänen at the Linnanmaa campus at events presenting EU careers and contact her when you want to ask for more detailed information about EU careers.

The position of EU Careers Student Ambassador opens Europe-wide networking opportunities with students as well as those working in EU positions, because the careers ambassador cooperates with a Europe-wide student network and the European Commission's Representation in Finland. This October, Milla will participate in training for all new EU career ambassadors in Luxembourg.

Each EU Careers Student Ambassador makes their job unique. Milla's goal is to be an easily approachable career ambassador and to organise events in a relaxed atmosphere where students can learn about EU careers and maybe even get an EU spark for their future.
