International Business Management Bachelor’s Programme included in transfer application period 4–18 May 2026

The three-year International Business Management (IBM) Bachelor’s Programme at the Oulu Business School is included in the transfer application period for the first time.

After completing the International Business Management programme, students gain essential knowledge and skills in the field of international business management. The programme addresses global business challenges from a Nordic perspective and introduces students to the concepts of responsible leadership and creative entrepreneurship.

Graduates of the International Business Management Bachelor’s Programme receive an internationally respected degree from an AACSB-accredited business school. The degree is part of a five-year International Business Management programme, and students who complete the bachelor’s degree are automatically granted the right to continue to the IBM Master’s Programme.

When can you apply for a transfer?

You can apply to transfer into the IBM programme if you have ongoing bachelor’s studies and are currently studying at another university, or if you wish to change your programme within the University of Oulu. You must have a valid study right at a Finnish university and sufficient time remaining to complete your studies. Submit your application through the Studyinfo service at www.opintopolku.fi.

Selection criteria

To be eligible for transfer, you must have completed 29 ECTS credits of university-level studies, of which at least 25 ECTS credits must correspond to the basic and intermediate-level courses of the IBM programme. Up to 4 ECTS credits may consist of other university-level courses. No additional studies are required if you have completed more than 25 ECTS credits in accordance with the degree structure.

The average grade of the courses must be at least 3 (on the Finnish grading scale). Students are selected based on their course grade average. For more detailed selection criteria, see Studyinfo.

Important dates for the spring 2026 transfer application period

  • Apply on studyinfo.fi 4 -18 May, 2026, 15.00/3pm (GMT +3)
  • Submit all required application attachments by 25 May 2026 at 15:00/3pm (GMT +3)
  • Results will be published by 2 July 2026
  • Confirm your study place via My Studyinfo by 9 July 2026 at 15:00/3pm (GMT +3)
  • Enroll for the academic year by 12 August 2026
